About this event

The Ministry of Labour and Manpower Planning is holding a Conditions of Work Seminar for employers operating in Region Three, and has asked the Region Three Chamber of Commerce and Industry to bring the Region's employers to the table. This is a collaborative event between the Ministry and the Chamber. The seminar gives employers practical information on conditions of work, your responsibilities under Guyana's labour legislation, and workers' rights. It is also a chance to put questions directly to officers of the Ministry and to the stakeholder agencies attending, on employment standards and good workplace practice. Attendance is free. You do not need to be a member of the Chamber. PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU REGISTER The Ministry has asked the Chamber for approximately 45 employers, and the room at the RDC holds that number. Every seat you take is a seat another Region Three employer cannot have. If there is a 50 per cent or greater chance that you will not be able to attend, please do not register. Register only if you intend to be in the room on the day. If your plans change after you register, tell us as soon as you know so the seat can go to someone else. WHAT TO BRING Nothing is required. If you have a specific question about your obligations as an employer, bring it. The Ministry has set aside time for employers to raise matters directly. Registration has been reopened and closes at 9:00 am on Tuesday 13 October 2026, the morning before the seminar.
